Grilled Shrimp

Ingredients:

Deveined shrimp.                 500gr
Onion.                                 1 small
Coriander ( chopped ).         1 tbsp
Lemon juice.                        1 tbsp
Soya sauce.                         2 tbsp
Dried basil.                           1 tsp
Turmeric.                             1/2 tsp
Black pepper.                      1/2 tsp
Salt.                                    1/2 tsp

In a bowl mix all ingredients together and then add washed shrimp. Chill for about an hour. Then grill it in a pan using skewers. Grill for 2-3 minutes each side. Serve it with french fries or mashed potatoes.

Garlic Parmesan French Fries


Ingredients:

Potato.        2 large
Garlic.         1 clove
Parmesan cheese.   1 tbsp
Parsley.        1 tsp
Frying oil 
Pinch of salt

Wash and peel potatoes, cut them lengthwise, in a container add potatoes and cold water and leave in fridge for 1 hour. 
Grate garlic in a small dish, finely chop parsley and add it to garlic, add parmesan as well and mix using a spoon.
Drain potatoes, fry them in hot oil until golden brown, work in batches. Use paper towel to remove excess oil. 
When french fries are ready sprinkle cheese mix over it and serve immediately.

French apple tart, easy to make


French Apple Tart
yield:  8 servings

Ingredients:

For crust

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup butter, cold and divided
1/4 tsp. salt
3 Tbsps. ice water
1/4 cup confectionary sugar

For Filling 

5 large yellow apples, peeled, cored, and halved
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup caramel
2-3 drops lemon juice
1/2 tbsp flour
1 tsp cinnamon

Pulse together flour, 1/2 cup butter, sugar and salt in a food processor until crumbly.  While the food processor runs, gradually add water.  Let the processor run until the dough begins to stick together.  Press the dough into a disk, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for one hour.

Thinly slice apple halves, add cold water into a bowl and add 2-3 drops of lemon juice to the water and place the apple halves in the water and leave it in fridge for half an hour.

Remove the dough from the refrigerator and roll out on a lightly floured surface. Transfer the dough to an tart pan. Fit the dough into the pan and trim excess with a knife.  Prick the tart dough with a fork several times.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  

Drain apple halves add cinnamon and 1/2 tbsp flour to apples and mix well. Then 
place over the dough.Cut some of the halves into quarters to fit in the empty spaces.  Bake for 60 to 70 minutes.

When tart is finished baking, brush caramel over apples. Allow to cool before serving.  



Mini chicken mayonnaise sandwiches made for party

This is a good idea if you are planning a birthday party or any other party. The ingredients makes about 80-100 sandwiches.

Ingredients:

Chicken breast               500 grams
Lettuce                          100 grams
Sweet corn.                    3 tbsp 
Low fat mayonnaise.       5 tbsp
Toast bread.                   1 pack
Cherry tomatoes.            500 grams
Black pepper.                  1 tsp
Salt.                                 1/2 tsp

Cook chicken breast for 1-1.5 hours. When cooled chop into very small pieces. Finely chop lettuce and add it to chicken. Add sweet corn, mayonnaise, salt and black pepper. Mix well ( add mayonnaise if needed) cool in fridge. Meanwhile prepare toast bread by cutting each into 9 pieces. Cut cherry tomatoes into halves. At the end prepare the mini sandwiches as shown in picture.

Fresh salad

I've made this salad today and it was so yummy and super easy to make. You can have it with your lunch or dinner.

Ingredients: lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, onion and two tbsp of chopped parsley, 3 tbsp lime juice , 2 tbsp olive oil and a pinch of salt

Chop lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes and onion and mix them in a large bowl. Add chopped parsley.
Add lemon juice, olive oil and salt and serve it immediately!
* you can use lettuce, cucumber, tomato and onion as much as you want depending on family members.

Cooked Fava Beans

If you like fava beans so you should try this recipe. It's really easy to make. All you need is washed fava beans, water and salt. To make this recipe just wash beans boil them in a pot with water over low heat, after about 1- 2 hours add salt and let it cook for 10 -15 minutes. That's it! It's ready! Serve it in a dish add salt if you like it more salty. We usually have it for evening as it's not a complete meal!
